Edward Nesselhauf, age 60, passed away on March 14, 2026. Ed was born on March 18, 1965, to Walter and Lois (Hill) Nesselhauf. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for his entire life. He attended Cheyenne Mountain High School and graduated in 1983. Ed was fond of fixing things, working on computers, and restoring cars, especially classic Mopar cars. He worked as a cook and restaurant manager for many years, but his passion was welding. He combined his intellect and passion in a race car chassis shop (REACTion Chassis) that he owned and operated together with his cousin, Wayne, for several years. Afterwards, he worked as a maintenance contractor at Ft. Carson, specializing in projects that required his diverse welding skills.
He is survived by his daughter, Shelby, and son-in-law, Bobby; his stepson, Stefan, and daughter-in-law, Cody; his mother, Lois; his sister, Cindy, and brother-in-law, Dusty; along with a very large, extended family.
Ed will be long remembered for his keen sense of humor, kind heart, and attention to detail. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life luncheon was already held with close family. Plans for a funeral service for the extended family are still pending and will be announced later.
