Erin Kathleen Smith, age 54, passed away on August 28, 2023. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 23 years and was formerly a resident of Washington and Texas. She was a Registered Nurse.
Erin was born on October 23, 1968, to Joseph Smith and Mary (Leech) in Seattle, Washington.
She was fond of reading. She also enjoyed all sorts of crafts and had an appreciation for musical performance. She attended Lindbergh Senior High School in Renton, Washington, as well as Seattle University in Seattle, Washington, graduating with a bachelor’s in science and nursing. She served in the United States Army.
She is survived by her son, Ryan Joseph Smith; her sister, Meighan Graham (Randy) of Meridian, Idaho; and five nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Mary (Leech) Smith.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Shrine of Remembrance, “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Interment will be at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.
