Fructoso “Don” Adonias Roybal, age 82, passed away on August 19, 2022. He was brought into the world on October 5, 1939, in Colorado to the union of Nativada (Quintana) and Fidel Roybal. Don was a resident of Peyton, Colorado for forty years. On March 13, 1983, he married the love of his life, Hilda L. DeArkos. He faithfully worked in general maintenance at the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Don enjoyed fishing.
Don is survived by his loving wife: Hilda L. (DeArkos) Roybal; his sister: Francis (Leo) Arellano; his children: Tammy Kiefer and Donna Casias; his stepchildren: Leslie (Brad) Mortensen, Rhonda (Rick) Madril, Karen Korum, and Tina Belt; and multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his daughter: Jackie Roybal; his granddaughter: Jennifer Hernandez; his mother: Nativada (Quintana) Roybal; and his father: Fidel Roybal.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado. A reception will take place following the service at the beautiful Shrine of Remembrance Rock of Ages Gazebo.
