He studied business at Adams State College and electrical engineering at UCCS.  Geoff was a certified SCUBA diver, an avid skier, and snowboarder.  He got certified as a SCUBA diver on Guam when he was 12 years old.  He skied in the Alps and the Rocky Mountains.  He loved open water fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.  He loved to travel.  He had visited five of the seven continents including, of course, North America, but also Africa, Asia, Australia, and Europe.  He also enjoyed building and renovating properties.  He was so smart and talented!  He was bilingual by the time he was three years old in German and English!  Geoff was also an amazing pianist who performed at the Fine Arts Center in Colorado Springs when he was 15!

Geoff is survived by his loving wife, Cassie; their 17-month old baby, Brixton; Bullitt and McKenzie Cordova; his parents, Linda and George Richie; his siblings, George, Jr.; Jessica Parrish (Troy); Amanda Martinez (Rob); Jaina; and Jacen; numerous aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, and so many cousins and friends – all of whom love Geoff dearly and prayed so fervently for his recovery.  Geoff is also survived by Cassie’s parents, Bruce and Janet Bayless, who loved Geoff like he was their own son.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Roy Vincent Watkins, Lee Rector Watkins, Gladys Harriet Richie, and George Omar Richie; and by his uncle, Roy Vincent Watkins, Jr.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.  A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 2:00 PM.
