Harry Grant Smith, age 90, passed away on August 31, 2026. He was a resident of Firestone, CO, for 20 years and was formerly a resident of Longmont, CO. He was a computer manager and later in life worked at Home Depot in doors/windows.
Harry was born on January 11, 1936, to Roy Henry Smith and Hulda Geraldine Geddis (Smith). He married Donne Elsie Quasney on May 27th, 1961, in Philadelphia, PA. Later he married Joanne Wheeler Johnson on September 2, 1977, in Boulder, CO.
Harry was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching many sports, including football, hockey, and golf. Harry attended Mount Carmel Joint Senior High School and graduated on May 26, 1953. He joined the Navy and served from 1953 to 1957 with part of his tour serving on the USS Potter.
He is survived by his children: Mark Alan Smith and Lisa Alma Smith; his grandson, Daniel Elisha Smith; and his great-grandchildren: Jonah, Elsie, and Connor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Hulda, and his brothers, Sterling and Roger Smith.

I have so many fond childhood memories of Uncle Harry, Donna, Mom and Dad, all of us kids—and of course Pepper—at the house in Southampton. Those are memories I will always treasure.
One of my most recent and cherished memories is when Jason and I visited Uncle Harry and Joanne at their beautiful home in Boulder. I could see how happy he was there, surrounded by the mountains, his garden, and nature. It was such a special place, and it was so clear how much he loved his life there.
Uncle Harry will always have a very special place in my heart. I’m sending you so much love and my deepest condolences. ❤️
God Bless The Memory of Harry Grant Smith, although we never knew each other, you were once Married to my Late Cousin Donna E. Quasney, who was the daughter of my father’s brother Royal F. Quasney of Baltimore Maryland of who I loved. so very much, when I was a very young boy, when he lived with us in my family’s home!
