Jeanetta Marie Carl, age 66, went home to Jesus in peace and love on October 19, 2023. She was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado; she raised her children in Fairplay, Colorado then spent her remaining years back in Colorado Springs.  She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, auntie and friend to all. Jeanetta was born on April 16, 1957, to Merlyn Wesley Carl and Ila Mae Padley in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Jeanetta Marie Carl was a daughter of our most high GOD, a masterpiece, a one of a kind, a steward, an original, an artist, she was amazing and wonderfully made, she was beautiful, she had a smile that would light up a room, she could tell the worst jokes and laugh even if you didn’t, she was talented and most of all she was loved by all.

Jeanetta, above all, had a strong spiritual connection to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Jeanetta was fond of animals, especially her kitties. There was not an animal that didn’t reciprocate. She was a talented seamstress and beautician. Jeanetta had a green thumb and could make anything grow. Jeanetta loved to bake and made the best chocolate bundt cake anyone ever tasted. Jeanetta was also a diehard Broncos fan. She enjoyed hiking and had an appreciation for nature and the outdoors. She was a member of the National Nature Conservancy and Mineralogical Society of America

Jeanetta attended Palmer High School and graduated in 1975 and went on to get her associate degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design at Pikes Peak Community College in 1977. Jeanetta was a dedicated worker in various roles; mainly she was supervisor of season pass tickets sales at Breckenridge Ski Resort, as well as retiring from customer service at Schlage Lock.

Jeanetta is survived by her loving children: Ryan Lee Stamper (Kelly), Holly Marie Misel (Matthew); her siblings: Rondy Padley, Lonnie Carl and Paul Bannister; and her grandchildren: Markus, Jolynn, Joseph, Charlotte and Juniper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merlyn Wesley and Ila Mae Padley; brother, Pete Bannister; her horse, Leo; and dog, Cheyenne.

A Celebration of Jeanetta’s life will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 am- 2:00 pm at New Song Church, 1515 N Academy Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909. We encourage everyone to wear their Broncos or Rockies gear or any blue/orange or purple colors to the Memorial Service.
