Jesse William Nagel’s Life – But a Moment in Time
Jesse was born on February 11, 1985, at Penrose Community Hospital in Colorado Springs to Carol and Greg Nagel. He attended Manitou School District 14 from kindergarten through 12th grade. From an early age, Jesse showed an interest in serving his country and joined the Air Force ROTC program at the University of Colorado Boulder. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree, he was commissioned into the United States Air Force and was stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base for four years. He attained the rank of First Lieutenant and was honorably discharged, receiving several commendations for his service.
Shortly after beginning his military career, Jesse married Adina Martin, whom he met while attending the University. Their greatest joy together was the birth of their daughter, Violet Winter Nagel, in April 2014. After returning from the service he worked in the Denver area for the State of Colorado.
Jesse had many interests, but his greatest passions included playing hockey, riding motorcycles, and collecting Star Wars and Marvel memorabilia.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Violet; his father, Greg; his siblings, Vanessa and Cory; his niece, Josephine Lane; and his nephews, Jixx and Raenes Nagel.
Jesse’s life was unexpectedly cut short by a medical emergency on June 20, 2026. He was a cherished son, father, brother, and friend who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Though his time with us was far too brief, he made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Beyond all of his accomplishments, Jesse had a beautiful soul. His kindness, loyalty, gentle heart, and quiet generosity touched countless lives. He will be remembered not only for what he achieved, but for the compassion he showed others and the love he carried within him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
