With deepest sorrow, we announce that John Ryan Stinar passed away unexpectedly on February 14.  John Ryan was born on June 25, 1992, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, graduating from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 2010.  He enjoyed participating in golf and hockey during school and continued to enjoy golfing with his brothers whenever he found the time to play.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling.  John Ryan loved being in the mountains, skiing or hiking with his dogs.

John Ryan will be missed by his dogs, Samson and Delilah, his parents John Stinar and Peggy Libbey, his sister Megan, his brothers James, Peter and Daniel, his brother-in-law Eli Faville, his stepparents, Aimee Stinar and Pat Libbey, his grandparents James Burns and Joan Stinar and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

John Ryan was called “brother” by all who knew him.  Although he was only 29, he touched many people in his lifetime.  He was loyal and committed to his friends, always extending a helping hand to whomever needed him.   Those who knew John Ryan even a little, will miss his kind words, his ready smile, and his gentle soul.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church, 9 El Pomar Rd. on Monday, February 21 at 10 AM with a reception to follow at The Pinery at the Hill, 775 W Bijou St.
