Judy Johannessen, 83, passed away on July 23, 2023. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 47 years. She was an elementary school secretary at Broadmoor Elementary and then Cheyenne Mountain Elementary, where she then retired.
Judy was born on February 24, 1940, to Gottlebe Fred Nicolaus and Genevive Mabel (Call) Nicolaus in Waterloo, Iowa. In 1958, she married Jerry C. Johannessen in Iowa. Judy was fond of playing Yahtzee with her sister, Jan Moses, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Johannessen; her granddaughter, Nicole Tardif; her great-grandchildren: Kristopher Clark, Madalynn Clark, Ruby Tardif, Timothy Tardif III, and Jaxxon Tardif; her great-great-granddaughter, Emerald Clark; and her sister, Janice Moses.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry C. Johannessen; and her son, Mark A. Johannessen.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
