He was preceded in death by his wife, Hannelore Hermes (Dohnke); and his sister, Ursula Kluck, in Germany.
He is survived by his daughter, Helga, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son Eric and wife Wendi and Trever of Bellingham, WA; nephew Klaus-Dieter Thorman and family in Germany; sister-in-law Renate Zuschneid and family in Germany; and brother-in-law Wolf-Dietrich and family in Germany.
He will be inurned at 10:00 a.m. on September 3, 2026, in the Song of Mary Columbarium at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
