Kenneth William Mulvaney, age 67, entered into his eternal rest on April 17, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He was a man of many talents but found his calling in truck driving. He was a hardworking man who took great pride in his work.
Born on March 4,1959, in the Bronx, New York. His family relocated to Los Angeles, California when he was young. Ken grew up in Southern California. He proudly made Colorado Springs his home for the past 20 years.
A beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. Ken was a big kid at heart and very fond of his family. Especially adoring his grandchildren, Ken was always up for an adventure or simple fun in board games and cards. He had a sweet tooth, and it was easy to always count on him to have an extra chocolate stash. Ken was a playful spirit and an everlasting ice cream buddy- always asking who was ready for dessert the minute he finished dinner.
He had a love for the water and could also spend hours fishing- always finding new ways to make the best bait and catch the most fish. He enjoyed swimming and the only way he ever entered the pool was by diving in. If Ken was in the pool, he was definitely going to be challenging everyone to an underwater swim contest which he always won.
Often called fancy feet, Ken enjoyed dancing and karaoke. At the bowling alley, in the store, or out on the town, if music was playing, Ken was dancing and he was involving everyone around him. He had an appreciation for golf and enjoyed watching tournaments with a bowl full of snacks.
Those who knew Kenny will remember him as a kindred spirit, a cherished laugh, and a soul who has left a mark on all the paths he walked. He will be greatly missed.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Lorrie; his son, Jeremy; his daughter and son-in-law, Jasmine and Layne; his grandchildren, Gracie and Carson; his siblings: Kim and Tom Baker, Jean and Max Cordero, Maryann and Eddie Legg, Barbara and Doug Lightfoot, and William Mulvaney; as well as numerous loved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Walter Mulvaney Sr.; and brother, Walter Mulvaney Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:00pm at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2111 Carlton Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909. Food will be served at the church following the service.
