Kevin Michael Moore passed away unexpectedly on the 12th of September 2026 near Cripple Creek, CO. He was born to Michael and Diane in Colorado Springs, CO, on March 5th, 1979.
Kevin largely spent his youth exploring the Colorado Ute Pass area, attended district 14 schools in Manitou Springs, and ultimately graduated from Clovis High School in 1997. Kevin sprinkled his early adulthood between Clovis, New Mexico, and Lubbock, Texas, before returning to Colorado in 2004. His passions included playing baseball, fishing, camping, cooking, BBQ, bowling and golf. Kevin began dating Kate in 1999, convincing her to marry him in July of 2002 in Colorado Springs. Together, Kevin and Kate raised two wonderful boys, Michael and David. Professionally, Kevin had his hand in many trades varying from holding a commercial driver’s license, working in the service industry at the Broadmoor, working as a heavy equipment operator, member of a pipeline welding crew, and most recently ensuring the safety of students as an armed security guard at Janitell Middle School where he made a pointed effort to offer words of encouragement or praise to those needing kind words most. Kevin was a proud father, a doting husband, and loving friend. Kevin’s kindness and thoughtfulness for those he loved was unparalleled. His heart was as large as they came, always willing to give his shirt off his back regardless of personal circumstances. His passing will be felt by many.
Kevin is preceded in death by his grandparents Mason and Carolyn Moore, as well as Harold and Nadean McCracken.
He is survived by his wife, Kate; their children, Mike and David; his parents, Michael & Diane Moore; Jack and Diane Ramsey; along with a multitude of extended family.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Shrine of Remembrance located at 1730 East Fountain Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
