Linda D’Amico, 75, passed away on September 20, 2023. She was born at Fort Carson Colorado on May 28, 1948, to Fred and Alice (Borst) Ortensie. Later, Alice married “Cowboy” Bill Garnhart, who adopted Linda and sister, Barbara and was a wonderful dad to the girls and their brother, Rick.

They lived in Limon, Colorado for several years, then returned to Colorado Springs where Linda graduated from Palmer High School in 1966. She was employed by Hewlett-Packard for a few years. Linda met her future husband, Tony in 1967 and they married September 14, 1968. They had two children, Michele and Kenneth.

Linda had great faith in God! Through the years she attended Bible Baptist Church, Circle Drive Baptist Church, finishing at Vista Grande Baptist Church, her home.

Her family and friends were always incredibly important to her! Linda loved to garden and journal, and to spend time with God and friends in Bible studies. She also enjoyed all kinds of crafting, including cross-stitch, crochet, knitting, plastic canvas, and sewing clothing for Tony and her children. Linda had a wonderful neighborhood and family, who were always having cookouts and parties. “The Girls” enjoyed a tradition of a weekly breakfast together for many years which evolved to include workouts at Curves for many decades. Linda also loved to travel with Tony and family, seeing most of the US and much of Canada and Mexico.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Anthony “Tony” D’Amico; her children: Michele “Micki” Atkins (Christopher), and Kenneth “Kenny” D’Amico (Cassandra); and her brother, William “Rick” Garnhart (Ruth). She loved her grandchildren: Dominic, Zachary, McKiya, Jessie, Zarren, Tiffany, Isabell, Kaden, Vinny; and her great grandchildren: Lilly, Damon, and baby girl on the way.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Alice Garnhart; her sister, Barbara Relaford; and brother-in-law, Marvin Relaford.

Services will be held at Vista Grande Baptist Church, 5680 Stetson Hills Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80917, on September 28th, 2023, beginning with the viewing at 10:00 a.m., Celebration of Life at 11:00, and followed by a reception at the church.
