Loren A. Wilkinson, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the age of 85.  He was born June 12, 1937, in Vona, CO to Roy and Margaret Wilkinson, becoming the eighth and final child.  He was a wonderful son, husband, dad, grampa, uncle, and friend.

Loren married the love of his life, Priscilla Shanks, on November 13, 1960. From this union they had two daughters, Rhonda, and Debbie.  He dearly missed “Prissy” since her passing in 2003 and is now reunited with her.

He farmed and was a custom cutter.  In 1966 he began his career at the CO Department of Transportation, becoming M2 in charge of Monument Hill and retired in 1996. After retirement he worked part-time for a car rental company and then Adesa Auto Auction.

Loren enjoyed a wonderful life, time with family, his grandsons, Derek and Tanner, friends, playing his guitar, Bobby Sox fastpitch softball umpire, family reunions, National Western Draft Horse shows, spring training vacations, gardening, NASCAR, the home away from home in Gunnison, fishing, hunting, Branson, Denver Broncos, Rockies, Palmer Girls Basketball videographer since 2003, bingo, cruising Alaska, playing cards and so much more.  He was one of a kind, funny, and always had a story to tell. We will so miss hearing his stories and “dad’isms”.

He was predeceased by parents, Roy and Margaret, siblings, Lloyd Wilkinson, Thelma Cushing, Arlene Andrewjeski, Wilma Woller, Earl Wilkinson, wife, Priscilla Wilkinson, grandsons, Bryan Grinde, and Luke Shackelford.
