Loren David Sadler, 47, passed away on June 10, 2022, in Colorado Springs, after a short battle with an aggressive cancer. He was born on March 12, 1975, in Boulder, Colorado to Ralph and Iris Arlene (Destival) Sadler.  Loren also resided in Woodland Park, Colorado as well as in Arizona and New Mexico. In 1993 he graduated from Dawson School — a private high school — in Lafayette, Colorado, and went on to attend the University of New Mexico, where he earned a mechanical engineering degree. On December 30, 2009, Loren married the love of his life, Adela Fernandez Garcia in Woodland Park, Colorado.

After graduating from college, Loren worked as a mechanical engineer in the Aerospace Industry. He was very proud of his work on the Javelin System and an ejection seat system to safely allow military helicopter pilots to eject from their helicopter prior to a crash.

Loren loved cars, planes, helicopters, motorcycles and almost anything with an engine. But as much as he loved all of those, he loved God and his family more. He thrived in the outdoors. He wished it was always winter so he could go snowmobiling and skiing with his family and friends. He even spent some time as a volunteer ski instructor. When he wasn’t in the snow, he enjoyed boating, hiking, motorcycle riding and biking.

While Loren was proud of his personal and business accomplishments, he was most proud of his children, Ethan and Millie. He loved spending time with them and he poured into them all of his love. He led them in truth by his faith in Jesus Christ and he cherished being their dad. They will miss him greatly and will be forever grateful for the wonderful father he was.

Loren deeply and fully loved his wife, Adela. He respected her, supported her dreams, and considered her his equal partner in every aspect of their lives.

He is survived by his wife, Adela; his children: Ethan and “Millie” Emilia Sadler; his father, Ralph; his brother, Gary Sadler; and his sister, Rene Green. He was preceded in death by his mother, Iris Arlene.

A visitation will be held at 9 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. A second viewing will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m., also on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Greenwood and Myers Mortuary, 2969 Baseline Road, Boulder, Colorado 80303. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Green Mountain Memorial Park, 290 20th Street, Boulder, Colorado 80302.

Memorial contributions may be made in Loren’s memory to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (www.hsppr.org).
