Mabel Marie Powers, age 96, passed away on February 14, 2023 in Mesa, Arizona. She was a resident of Mesa, Arizona for the past six years and was formerly of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Mabel was born to William and Apllonia (Zimmerman) Lambrecht on March 12, 1926, in Pfiefer, Kansas. She married the love of her life Cloran Powers, Jr. in Denver, Colorado on April 14, 1952. Mable worked as a seamstress and tailor. She was a faithful member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and the Holy Family Catholic Church since 1955. Mabel was an avid bowler. She treasured her relationships with her children and grandchildren.
Mable is survived by her son, Mr. Cloran “Shane” Powers, III (Donna); her brother, Kenneth Lambrecht of Colorado Springs as well as 18 grandchildren and over 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cloran Powers, Jr., who passed November 2016; two of her sons: Roy Alfred Pierce and Richard Anthony Powers; her daughter: Sharan Ann Brennen, three sisters, four brothers, and her parents: William A. Lambrecht and Apllonia (Zimmerman) Lambrecht.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5324 US-85, Colorado Springs, CO 80911 with a burial following at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
