Marie Woody passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on February 8, 2023 in Colorado Springs. She was 87 years old. Marie was born in Newfoundland, Canada but chose Colorado as her home. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Woody and her daughter, Paula Peppers. She is survived by 3 children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marie had a passionate love for her family, friends and anyone she encountered and was always there to offer help. She was a respected business owner of a Colorado Springs coffee shop for several years. She provided a warm, welcoming smile to all who would sit at her counter for a cup of coffee. She will be remembered for her spunky spirit, a no-nonsense but kind manner, and countless great meals. She was a loving and treasured mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial will be held to celebrate Marie’s life on Saturday, March 18 at 2:00 pm, held at Sun Ridge Retirement Community located at 5820 Flintridge Dr. Colorado Springs, CO 80918.
