Marge Calu passed away on 3 April 2023 at 96 years young. She was born in Colorado Springs to Marvin and Arlie Hamilton and grew up on the family farm south of Yoder, She was the youngest of 4 kids.

She took her first job right out of Blair College with Kingsolver, White, Griffiths & Johnson and stayed there 58 years. She then went to a smaller firm with many of her clients and stayed for 6 years. At 91 she stopped driving and finally retired.

She loved doing jigsaw puzzles, reading the funnies, and the Rockies. She was always a sweet soul and clearly loved her family, friends and clients.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Marvin and Shorty; and sister, Maxine. She also lost both her daughters, Vickie and Nancy.

Loved survivors who carry on her legacy include her sons, Keith, Greg and Steve (wife, Connie); her grandchildren, Jeremy, Amber, Frank, and Casi; and ten great-grandchildren, that are all ages from 20 years to only weeks old.

She is so dear to us all and we will love her until the end of time.

Her service (which she didn’t really want) will be at 2pm, the 27th of April 2023 at the Shrine of Remembrance.

Her ashes will be interred in her mother’s grave in a family service the following day.

  1. We were so sad to learn of Margie’s passing. She was remarkable is so many ways. Her work ethic could not be surpassed–working into her 90s–how many people could do that! She helped so many people, not only her clients, but friends and relatives also. She will be greatly missed by many! Our deepest condolences, Don and Coralie Ritlkouski

  2. I will miss her silliness and smile. Good lady! Blessed to have known her.

  3. I will miss her silliness and smile. Blessed to have known her. Godspeed!

  4. Marge will be truly missed. I had the pleasure of working with Marge for many years. Her smile, love of friends and clients was beautiful to see. Love of her family was very strong. Her sense of humor was a ray of sunshine. Marge, a great lady, will leave an empty space in my heart.

    1. Thank you Joyce. I know she always had a ball working with you, just like I did!

  5. Marge worked with our partner Milton and had to call us repeatedly to confirm information about our horses. I missed our chats when she retired. I looked her up because Milton just died on April 6 and I wanted to let her know. I guess she already knows?. She was a lovely and patient lady. Our deepest sympathy.

  6. Our family wants to thank everyone who came to mom’s service, and send our thanks to everyone who cared for her over the years. We lost track of the guest book, but hope to send thank yous to all her family and friends. Keith, Greg and Steve.
