Mary Ellen Rivera, age 86, passed away on October 29, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Mary Ellen was born February 11, 1937, to Felix Rivera and Josefita Gallegos.
Mary Ellen was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and attended St. Mary’s High School and graduated June 1, 1955.
She is survived by her daughters: Tracy Nash and Sandy Hampel; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and her two sisters: Vickie and Ophelia.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.

9 Nov 2023Will always remember my dear Aunt Mary and her sister Cora (my mother) having each other’s back with child care. They both were young mothers and family was essential in rearing so many children. The kid swaps were weekly, if not daily and Tracy (Aunt Mary’s oldest daughter) and I became good friends as very young children. Farewell Aunt Mary and thank you for the wonderful memories. God Bless
