Matthew William Bowen, 26, died August 26, 2023. He was born November 21, 1996, in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Eugene Bowen and Brenda Pohlman.
Matthew worked at Micro Metals. He enjoyed working on his cars, fire twirling, gaming, and drawing. He was a generous, loving, and caring young man.
He is survived by his sister, Samantha Bowen, Colorado Springs, Colorado; mother, Brenda Pohlman, Colorado Springs, Colorado; father, Eugene Bowen, Denver, Colorado; grandparents: Fred and Lucia Pohlman, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Hann Pates, Denver, Colorado; and step-grandmother, Carol Clay of Lake City, Florida. Matthew is also survived by his sister-in-law, Kaeley Bowen; niece, Jaylee Bowen, Raleigh, North Carolina; and by several aunts and uncles: Larry and Jessica Pohlman, David Pohlman, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Janice and Phillip Eycke, Raleigh, North Carolina; and many first cousins: Crystallee, Jonathan, Natasha, Bianca, Nathaniel Pohlman, Heather, Audrey, Breanna Pohlman; second cousins: Leo, Liam, Sterling, and Ella; as well as a host of other family, extended family, friends, and acquaintances including his best friend, Chris Frederick. He was currently residing with girlfriend, Nancy Cruts and her children.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 2:00pm at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Matthew will be placed in a niche with his brother, James at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum.

I’m so sorry for the loss and pain you both are having to endure. I just cant imagine. I wish I could have known this young man. Mike and I were talking about you two,and found out about James and Matthew today September 13th may our Lord God welcome these two young men into his arms and into Heaven, Amen. Again Brenda and Gene I’m so sorry. Samantha I’m sorry that you lost your brother’s at such a young age I hope the the good Lord also comforts you on the days you need him most.
