On June 14, 2023, Mckenzie Marie Valori took flight on her journey home to be welcomed by God and her “Pop Pop”.

Mckenzie was like a hummingbird, delicate but fierce. Her talents, passions, and personality shined through in brilliant arrays of color. How do you begin to explain such a beautiful soul? First and foremost, the delicate, quiet, and bright hummingbird described the personality of Mckenzie, as she had always brought forth her unwavering kindness. She tried to make others happy and feel loved, whether it was family or a stranger. She had an undeniable dry sense of humor and a contagious laugh!

Her love and compassion for people and animals made Mckenzie a kind soul. Mckenzie’s hobbies included her detailed and stunning pieces of art that she created almost daily. Being with her family brought her the greatest joy. Mckenzie’s beautiful soul has touched everyone’s heart to the fullest, and her journey home is now complete. Every time a hummingbird takes flight we are reminded of Kenzie’s kindred spirit.

Mckenzie is preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Dante A. Valori, her “Pop Pop”. She is survived by her mom, Paula; her sisters: Jessie, Summer, and Taylor; her grandmother, Diane Valori; her aunts: Deborah and Donna; her uncle, Duane; and her beloved animals: Bubba, Kit, and Bunny.

Mckenzie passed away after a courageous and vigorous battle with anorexia. Mckenzie is loved beyond words and will be dearly missed every day.

Donations in honor of Mckenzie can be made to the Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary: One-Time & Recurring Donations | Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary (ofsds.org).

Your earthly light will be very much missed, but your beautiful spirit will continue to touch the lives of those who knew you, and even those, like me, who didn’t. 14. Mckenzie, you’ve touched many lives. Your beautiful spirit may not be seen with our eyes, yet your presence will surely be felt. Your gift for helping our animal friends and those who need compassion will continue with your gentle grace.

What a beautiful family you have. Your Auntie Donna has helped my husband, my children, and me for so many years. I am confident your kind spirit will continue to guide all those who know and love you.

May peace and comfort be with the Valori Family.
