Olivia Claire Burtwistle, age 19, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023 after a lifelong battle with Juvenile Batten disease.  She was a lifelong resident of Monument, Colorado. 

Olivia was born on August 31, 2003 in Colorado Springs to Bradley Scott Burtwistle and Julia Elaine (Raetz) Burtwistle.

She received her First Communion at St. Peter Catholic Church and later attended Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church and was involved in Girl Scouts and dance.  She was an animal lover and especially adored her dogs, Spencer, Jackie, Stanley, and Lucy.  She also loved music, enjoyed all things Scooby Doo, watching movies, and picking wildflowers. Olivia loved playing jokes on people and laughing hysterically afterwards. She loved going shopping with her purse and spending her own money on treasures.  She looked up to her big sister Sydney and loved her very much.

She is survived by her parents; her sister, Sydney Rae Burtwistle; her grandparents: Charlene Geiger (James), Nancy Freeman, and Sam Burtwistle (Mary).  She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Douglas Raetz and Dean Freeman.

A memorial Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Black Forest, Colorado.  A reception will be held at the church immediately following the services.  Inurnment will be private.
