Our beloved mom, Othelene (Leni) Colvard, age 92, passed away comfortably in her home surrounded by family on Oct 20, 2026. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends, all of whom will miss her warmth and gentle spirit.
Mom was a shining light to all who knew her. The time spent with her family, bible study groups, neighbors and longtime friends marked a life well-lived and loved. She embraced family, modeled goodness, held the little ones tenderly, and conveyed kindness to all she encountered.
We cannot express the right words to convey how much she will be missed. Nor can we express our full appreciation for the notes of love from friends and the tenderness provided by her caregivers.
Our family will celebrate her life in a private service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Michael’s Episcopal Church – Daughters of the King.
