Patricia Adelaide Owens passed away in a physical rehab center in Colorado Springs on
Sunday, July 3, 2022, after a prolonged lung illness. She was 71 years old.
Pat is survived by her husband, Bob; her children, Wayne and Kelly; and her grandchildren,
Tucker and Spencer. Pat had a third child, Brian, who died at birth.
She was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, on November 9, 1950, to Robert Ulmer and Ollie
Reynolds.
She lived roughly half of her adult life in Colorado and half in Florida, marrying twice. Her first
marriage of 16 years was to the father of her children, Wayne Larsen. At the time of her
death, she had been married nearly 30 years to Bob Owens, her husband and best friend.
Pat was primarily a homemaker, but spent significant time in the occupation of electronics
assembly (liking to boast about working on breakthrough technology for NFL instant replays).
While in Florida, she had a handful of waitressing and cashier jobs, as well.
She adored her grandchildren, was generous with the expression of her love, possessed
childlike wonder, loved Christmas, relished opportunities for pranks, enjoyed playing slots,
liked to fish, loved dancing, and played softball as a young adult.
Pat wasn’t religious, but lived by the Golden Rule and said her prayers every night. Forgiveness
and kindness were hallmarks of her character.
Viewing at 1:30 pm and Service at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
