Paul was born in Houston, Texas, on November 19, 1963, and passed away in Houston, Texas, at MD Anderson Cancer Center on August 25, 2026.
Paul will be remembered as one of the strongest men his family ever knew. He was an incredible teacher, full of knowledge, with an unforgettable sense of humor and way of making people laugh.
Paul lived most of his life in Colorado, where he developed a deep love for the Rocky Mountains. His love and passion for adventure carried into everything in his life—as a devoted father, husband, and musician.
Paul attended Pueblo State University and earned an Associate’s Degree in Broadcasting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications. Paul’s career began as a radio DJ, a perfect fit for his love of music and his wonderful speaking voice. Paul was a phenomenal guitar player, singer, and songwriter. He later worked as a renowned automotive service advisor for the majority of his career, ending his career as an off-road Jeep tour guide, combining two of his biggest passions: Jeeps and the Rocky Mountains.
Throughout Paul’s life, he took great joy in cruising on his motorcycles, practicing his stellar marksmanship as a proud gun enthusiast, and pursuing a lifelong love of cars and driving. A true automotive enthusiast, Paul took pride in sharing his knowledge, skills, and passions with those around him.
Paul leaves behind his wife, Shelley; his stepchildren, Brian, Janelle, and Nic; and his father, Dan, and stepmother, Denyse. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth “Cookie” Ringo; his son, John Daniel “JD” Ringo; and his stepson, Nathan Hale.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
