Perry Vernon Merrick
Perry Vernon Merrick, age 53, a resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on May 7, 2013 in his home. He honorably served as a Marine from 1980 to 1989 and has been in government service ever since. Since 2004, he has served in the Missile Defense Agency as a Management Analyst at Schriever Air Force Base.
He was born in Aurora, Colorado on July 11, 1959 to Ray Perry Merrick and Dolores Merrick. He graduated from high school in 1977 and then attended Colorado Mesa University.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray and his sister Debra. He is survived by his mother Dolores; his wife of 26 years, Pamela; his brother James; his sister Sheila; his son Benjamin; his daughter Jessica; his son-in law Robert; and his two grandchildren, Isabelle and Luke.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, Perry would have wanted you to instead support our military through the Wounded Warrior Project or the Disabled American Veterans.
