Rebecca Susan Bay (née Trulli) passed away suddenly on May 3rd, 2026, at her home in Colorado Springs. She was born December 2, 1950, in Upland, CA, the daughter of Nicholas and Betty Trulli.
Becky was, above all, the life of the party, with a wicked sense of humor and a quick wit that made everyone around her laugh. She loved to travel and could make friends anywhere. Once you were her friend, you stayed her friend for decades, no matter the distance. And nothing brought her more joy than gathering everyone around her own dinner table.
An incredible cook and an even better entertainer, Becky took early cooking classes from Martha Stewart, read cookbooks for fun, and trained briefly as a sommelier. A proud Italian, she loved to feed people, and a meal at her home was always an occasion.
Raised in Elkhart, IN, she made homes in Scottsdale, AZ; Redondo Beach, CA; South Weber, UT; West Orange, NJ; and Baltimore, MD, though the majority of her life unfolded in Colorado Springs and Northern California. Each place left her with a circle of beloved friends.
She spent her entire career in retail and wholesale; owning The Gold Key at The Broadmoor Hotel and Santa Fe West in downtown Colorado Springs, and later, Borderlands, a wholesale manufacturer’s repping firm in New York City.
Most of all, she adored her grandchildren. They were her world, and her return to Colorado Springs in recent years was, simply, about being close to them. Her boundless, adoring love will be deeply missed.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers, Terrance, Timothy, and Tom Trulli. She is survived by her daughters, Amy Bay (and Wade Nacinovich) and Kelsey (and Aaron Hunt), and her grandchildren, Leo Nacinovich, Irma Nacinovich, Emerson Hunt, and Will Hunt.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the GBS|CIDP Foundation International (Guillain-Barré). A small memorial for close family and friends will be held this weekend, with a celebration of life to follow this summer.
