
Robert “Bob” Dean Denison, age 95, passed away on May 22, 2026. He was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, for 61 years.
Bob was born on December 5, 1930, to Clarence and Bernice (Keyser) Denison in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. He was the fourth of nine children.
He graduated from Cheyenne Wells High School in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado in 1948.
Bob served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954 receiving an Honorable Discharge.
Bob married Mary Catherine Rohr on November 8, 1951. He was married to his beautiful and loving wife for 63 years. Together they had 5 children:

Michael Denison and wife, Monika of Federal Heights, Colorado
Richard Denison and wife, Tracey of Thornton, Colorado
Kathryn Reid of Raton, New Mexico
Robert L Denison and wife, Kay of Norfolk, Nebraska
Bob began to work for Colorado Interstate Gas Co in 1955. He worked at CIG and Coastal Corp for 33 years. He worked at the CIG Field Stations in Eads, Colorado, Lakin, Kansas, Clayton, New Mexico and Elkhart, Kansas. He then moved on to the main office in Colorado Springs in 1966. He was transferred to Houston, Texas and worked in the Procurement Dept for a few years before retiring in 1989. He was meticulous in everything that he did. His precision in record keeping, especially while caring for his ailing wife, was beyond incredible.
Once retired, Bob and Mary traveled to many of the US States in their RV. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, golfing and fishing. Also want to mention that he was a strong Denver Bronco Fan and loved supporting his team. He was an excellent provider for his family and hosted many family gatherings through the years.
He is survived by his 5 children: Steve, Mike, Rusty, Kathy, and Bob. He is also survived by one brother, John Denison and wife, Pam of Jonestown, Colorado. Two sisters-in-law, Sue Dennison of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Pat Denison of Waco, Texas. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is survived by many, many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Patricia Dennison, Tindal and Connie Dennison, Sue Dennison, Debbie and Tom French, Betty Stansbury and Dee Dee and Dave Muirhead. This group, along with the incredible support of his son, Rusty did an exceptional job helping him to maintain his independent living status at Aspen Trail Senior Living facility in Colorado Springs. He met many new friends and enjoyed games of Bingo and Texas Hold’em.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents, Clarence and Bernice. His siblings, Dorothy, Marvin, Walter, Doris, Marian, Kenneth, and Ronald.
Bob’s wish was to not have a funeral service; however, the family will be gathering for a Celebration of Life on June 27, 2026. The celebration will be held at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, at 975 South Union Boulevard in Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Gathering to begin at 1:00 pm. All are welcome, please join us in celebration of our wonderful dad.
