Robin Leroy Hanson, age 68, passed away on February 11, 2023.  He was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 4 ½ years and was formerly a resident of Aurora, Colorado. 

Robin was born on December 28th, 1954, to Alvin Hanson and Shirley (Leland) in Seattle, Washington and was raised by his beloved grandparents Vic and Dolly Jones.

 On November 1st, 1997, he married Julie Covert in Okoboji, Iowa. He was very proud to be an electrician. Robin was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Julie and his children: MaryJo Hoose (Scott), Christopher Hanson, Arleen Deitchman-Thompson (James), Jennifer Astello (Moises); his sisters Machelle Willey (Quentin), Connie Covert, Alana Defrange (Daniel), Dee-Dee Adams (Randy); his grandchildren, Derek, Grant, Madison, Braylen, Sophia, Kayleigh, Marco, Donovan; his great-grandchildren, Oliver, Priya, Tori, Gabriel, Pippin, Elise. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Friday March 3rd, at Shrine of Remembrance 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. A celebration of life will be held following the memorial service at Olympian Plaza Reception 975 S Union Blvd Colorado Springs.

He will be missed by so many, and we know that he is in a better place.
