Ronald Schroeder, age 72, passed away on May 6, 2023. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 23 years and was formerly a resident of Wichita Falls, Texas; Saginaw, Texas; Lewisville, Texas, Tampa, Florida; Alexandria, Louisiana; Keflavik, Iceland; Seoul, Korea. He was a Master Sergeant in the Air Force and Technician for Comcast and Verizon.

Ronald Schroeder was born on April 26, 1951, to Robert Herbert and Jeanne Mae (Wanek) Schroeder in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. In 1970 he married Doris Sokol in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and later Divorced. In 2001 he married Gina Germones in Denton, Texas, and later divorced.

Ron was a computer genius and worked with computers. He also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and had an appreciation for music. He also loved spending time with his children. He attended Mitchell High School and graduated in 1969 and attended the University of Wisconsin. He served in the United States Air Force, for 24 years.

He is survived by his children: Stephen, Troya, and Kevin; his siblings: sisters, Barbara, Cindy, Charleen, and their brother Jim; his grandchildren: Jessica, Jeshua, and Ryan; and his great-granddaughter: Saellia. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Jeanne.

A memorial will be held at the interment at 2pm on Monday, the 22nd at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80925. A reception will be held following the memorial at the family’s home.

During his time in the Air Force, Ron obtained the Air Force Commendation Medal (Second Oak Leaf Cluster) in September 1990 and the Meritorious Service Medal (First Oak Leaf Cluster) in May 1995.
