Rosemary Harju
Rosemary Harju, age 62, went to meet her Lord, and also her husband, on July 10, 2013 after a 7 month battle with cancer.
Rosemary was born to Richard and Lucille (Allen) LaMere on April 16, 1951 in Negaunee, Michigan. She met and married Dwayne Harju on November 3, 1973. They moved to Colorado Springs in June of 1984.
Rosemary loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed card-making, playing Dominos, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by three daughters: Juanita (husband Jeff) Herman, Tina (husband Dewayne) Comer, Lucinda Nylander; a son, Richard Harju; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, James (wife Charlene) Urquhart; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two brothers.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4720 Galley Road. She will be interred with her husband in Michigan.
