Samantha Layne Wild, of Colorado Springs, Colorado left our earth on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, and she is now sailing on a journey to shores we cannot see…yet.

Samantha was born on June 18, 1987, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the daughter of Mark and Laura Wild.  Samantha graduated from Falcon High School in Falcon, Colorado and attended Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, receiving her Associate’s Degree.

Samantha lived her life as a loving and compassionate person enchanting her family and friends with her humor, her quick wit, and most importantly her outlook to never take life too seriously. Samantha shared her beautiful smile with anyone she met, and her smile would instantly light up your soul. Samantha’s gifts were many, but she shined most brightly by being funny, outgoing, and always willing to help anyone in need; that is why so many friends gravitated to her amazing light.  Samantha loved family boating trips, art, drawing, singing, acting, and cooking. Samantha could spend hours staring at the stars, or watching the clouds go by on her many trips to Wisconsin.

The relationship Samantha had with her sister, Lauren Wild, was not like any other. Samantha was a wonderful big sister that taught her a lot and always was protective of Lauren. When Samantha would see Lauren, her whole face would light up and the time would be spent catching up on life and the hilarious family adventures.

Samantha is loved and adored by her many friends; they were her world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she got together with friends, the pure joy radiating from her would blind you. Samantha wanted nothing more than for her friends to have a wonderful life, and a glorious day.

Most of all, Samantha was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her parents, Mark and Laura Wild; her sister, Lauren Wild; her grandparents, Larry and Lucy Rusiewicz and Bette Wild. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles: Lisa Rosintoski, Jim Rosintoski, Linda and Andy Fisher and Lucie DelRe; and uncles: Mike Wild, Cathy Wild, Pat and Monica Wild, Jeff and Kari Wiegand; her cousins: Garrett Mills and Mesa Mills, Tyler DelRe, Cory, Ryan and Haley Sichi, Kyle and Ben Wiegand, Peyton, Kobe and Kragen Wild, Addison Wild.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in early 2024, as the family is grieving the sudden death and needs healing time. In addition, a Facebook post will be announced soon for those that want to visit her grave site.  We will have two jars, one with notes and pens, the others with notes.  Those notes will be between you and Samantha, and we will never read them, BUT I am sure she will.

Dance in peaceful serenity our beloved Samantha, we will miss and love you beyond words, until we see you again!  Love you more!

This Obituary Has 4 Condolences

  1. This totally encompasses Samantha’s personality. Although I didn’t see her often, when I did she was all smiles from ear-to-ear and always happy. I will never forget some of her antics growing up – particularly her and Lauren “riding” the garage door. She was so artistic and had an amazing talent for drawing. I could see from her social media posts that her talent extended to her love of cooking.

I am so sorry for your loss and know how much she was loved. I always prayed that one day she would find peace and healing and although this was not the outcome anyone prayed for, she has finally found that peace.

  2. Mark, Laura and Lauren, I am praying peace and comfort over you and the rest of your family. I only met Sam once, but I know through stories how much you loved her and how much love and joy you all shared.
    With much love,
    Lori

  3. Dear My Sami Sam,
You opened up a sky full of clouds ⛅️ with your raving beauty, the day we met. My children adopted you as their auntie Sam. Our entire world 🌎 became so much joyful with you around. I know you are more peaceful up there than we are down here. Hey BTW, you get to meet my mom!!! I she will take great care of you and keep you warm if you still it. Jus know I’m not good at this stuff Sam. Lol! Girl you’ve given myself and children the time of your life which made ours happy. I love you so very much I’m deeply at a loss of someone I feel as tho I needed. Anyways, don’t mean to ramble on. I will be looking you when it’s my turn. Peace and love.

  4. Dearest Laura, Mark and Lauren,

A priest consistently told his congregation, as they read the bible it would put the words of the scripture on their hearts. One day a parishioner asked, “why ON our hearts and not in our hearts?” The priest replied scripture can only put words on your heart so that when your heart breaks the holy words can fall in your heart and offer some comfort.”

My heart is broken without my dear Samantha, and what consoles me ever so slightly are the words of God and knowing her soul is eternal in heaven dancing with the angels with her new wings. We all loved Samantha so much and will be grieving her not being with us the remainder of our lives.

Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation. We will never be separated from Samantha, and look forward to seeing her again.

All our love, Lisa and Jim
