Sarah L. Pope of Colorado Springs, CO passed away on Friday July 21, 2023. She was 29 years forever young.  Sarah was born November 5, to Wilson and Barbara Pope at Fort Carson Colorado.

Sarah was an avid lover of thrift shopping, makeup, crafts, music/concerts, animals, and the outdoors. She also loved her cat “Chubby”. Sarah graduated from Falcon High School in 2012 and she went on to study Forensics at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. After graduating with a degree of Master of Art she continued to Yale University and was in the process of getting her PhD in the Medical field. Sarah worked many jobs in her short time with us. From food service, Nurses Aide, to working as a Coroner’s assistant. 

She is survived by her loving parents:  Wilson Pope, Barbara Pope, and Michele Pope; her siblings: Amy Pope, Keaton Pope, Shane Logan and Jamie Dye; her niece, Tiffany; and her two nephews: Amari and Ryder. 

A visitation/viewing will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday July 27, 2023, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.  A reception for family and close friends will follow at the house of Wilson and Michele Pope from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

  5. I met Sarah while we worked at Priceless Clothing. She and I became fast friends and spend so much time together making most amazing and hilarious memories. Whether we were thrift shopping or going to concerts, wandering book shops or exploring the outdoors, we had the best time. Sarah had a heart of gold and so much determination to make a better life for herself. She loved her family immensely and always had some great stories to tell me about them. I will forever be sad that I won’t get to meet up for coffee and talk about Yale or her see her latest hair color.

    Rest peacefully, Sarah. Miss you like you wouldn’t believe.

Your choice of study and work in forensics, nursing, and the medical field shows a beautiful heart with compassion for others. Your parents must have been so proud of you.
