Stephanie Maestas Montoya, born December 13, 1982, passed away on April 12, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and a presence that cannot be replaced.
Stephanie was a devoted mother, sister, wife, daughter, and friend. She was known for being incredibly stubborn, but just as much for being funny, loving, and fiercely protective, especially when it came to her children. They were her entire world, and everything she did was rooted in her love for them.
She had a beautiful voice and was an amazing singer, even though she was often too shy to share that gift in front of others. Stephanie also had a passion for cooking and could always be counted on to bring people together through food, laughter, and her strong personality. She had a way of making moments feel full, whether through humor, honesty, or simply being unapologetically herself.
She is survived by her children, Nathaniel, Trevor, Donovan, and Alyceah, who were her greatest pride and purpose, as well as her mother, sisters, and extended family, and many who loved her deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Montoya.
Stephanie’s passing leaves an unimaginable loss, especially for her children, who have now endured more than anyone ever should. Her love for them was constant, unwavering, and will continue to guide them in the years ahead.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Shrine of Remembrance. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. We don’t know how to do life without her, but we promise to take care of her babies and keep her love alive.
