
Stephen Paul Goodwin, 77, died on January 12, 2026 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, after a short illness.
Mr. Goodwin was born on July 28, 1948, in South Carolina to Ruth and Stanley Goodwin.
He was from a military family and loved our nation. As a young man he enlisted in the United States Air Force, and worked in civil engineering much of his life.
He retired from the Air Force and remained in Colorado Springs where he loved the beautiful mountains and lakes.Â
His many hobbies included fishing, carpentry, ham radio, model airplanes and most of all reading.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, BJ.
He is survived by three daughters, two sons, and many grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 2-4pm, at Bear Creek Park, Pavilion #3, 1950 S. 21st Street, Colorado Springs, CO, 80906.
