Susan M. Duszynski, age 55, passed away on November 27th, 2020.  She was a resident of Colorado Springs, CO for 21 years and was formerly a resident of Mukwonago, WI.  She was a best friend, wife, mother, homemaker, musician, music teacher, homeschool teacher, and brain cancer survivor.

Susan was born on September 12th, 1965 to Earl C. Pierce and Pasqualine (Pat) (_Basile_) Pierce in West Allis, WI.  On June 23rd, 1989 she married James K. Duszynski in Brookfield, WI.

Susan was a holistic musician and teacher. She opened her music studio to teach flute, saxophone and other instruments, as well as music theory. She enjoyed teaching her sons at home and supporting them in their activities. She loved being creative and the outdoors.  She came to know and love Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1985, and was a member of Firm Roots Fellowship. She graduated from Mukwonago High School (WI) in 1984 and Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) in 1991. Sue was a member of the Pikes Peak Flute Choir, occasional music master class instructor, and a teacher at Homeschool cooperative days.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim; her children: Peter, Samuel, and David; her parents: Pat Pierce and Paulette Gallatin (Jim); her siblings: Earl M. (Skip) Pierce and wife Jennifer, nephews Tyler and Chance; Kelly Brown (Jim), husband Wayne, nephew Kenneth.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm MT on Monday, December 7th at the Shrine of Remembrance Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd.,Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Due to COVID limitations, invitations to the service will be RSVP. The service will be live streamed and recorded.  Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in a private ceremony.  Special arrangements for a reception with Paravacini’s Italian Bistro will be announced at the service.

  4. Sue was one of the most agreeable people I have ever met! She was always a joy to walk with & it was great having her as a neighbor! She had been through so much with her brain cancer. She had a thankful spirit & she will be missed so much!

  10. I watched the service online and oh, how I wish I had met Sue before cancer. So many things I didn’t know about her! I knew she homeschooled the boys but had no idea about all her talents and love for music. Her light shone bright in the short time I knew her and I enjoyed her outlook on life and trust in the Lord. She was precious to our little group of moms. We will miss her. May God bless you mightily during these days of grief and until you see her again.

  11. We remember Sue as a young woman who Loved her Family, her friends, and Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray for her Family and Friends who morn her loss , but rejoice in knowing she is in Heaven waiting until she sees them again. Keep the Faith (Heb. 11: 1)
