On September 5th of 2022, the Bowen family lost their sweetest ray of sunshine, Miss Sylviah “Baby Kaye” Bowen, to a tragic accident.

Born on February 5, 2016, Sylviah remained a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado and was raised by her aunt, Theresa “Mommy Shell” Bowen, and alongside her cousins Aysahbella and Marick, whom she lovingly referred to as her brother and sister.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother: Leslie Kay “Mia” Bowen; as well as her aunt: Charlene Marie “Charlie” Erickson.

Sylviah has a big immediate family, including her granddad Terry Bowen, her aunt Lynett Bowen, cousin Jonny, her uncle Jaysen, her uncle Michael Bowen, cousins Joshua Bowen, and Brennan Jacobs, uncle Zachary Bowen, and cousin Ninabell, her uncles Stephen and Christopher Bowen, her mother and father Kayla Bowen and Jacob Weese, as well as siblings Jack and Charli Weese and Damon Locke.

Sylviah’s sweet and sassy personality will live on in the hearts of the many other family members and friends she had in her life. She was everyone’s friend. Sylviah loved to catch bugs, and stomp in rain puddles. She loved life to the fullest! Her presence will be very missed by many.

A Celebration of Life-Open House will be held from 2:00PM to 4:00PM on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
