Theresa Sheila Holmes, 68, passed away on April 25, 2026. She lived the last decade of her life in the mountains of Colorado and was formerly a resident of Baltimore, Maryland. She was a legal secretary and later, an artist and writer.
Theresa was born on January 25, 1958, to Jimmy Wicks and Clara (Robinson) Forby in Baltimore, Maryland. She was previously married to Kenneth (Nip) Holmes.
“Tee” was always drawn to writing and read extensively. Later, she really leaned into expressing herself through art. She created many original pieces and greatly enjoyed visiting local galleries. Painting while listening to old school R&B and then capping it off gossiping with one of her sisters was what she considered a perfect day.
She is survived by her two sons, Kenny and William; her grandchildren: Tayler, Devon, Mason, Ariana and Christopher; her sisters: Denise, Maria, Claudette and Andrea; her lifelong best friend and sister, Valerie; Dorothea and Eugene; and all her many cherished nieces and nephews and cousins. Her friends Bonnie, Bert and Michelle made her final years memorable.
“Don’t fret and dry your tears, we will see each other again. Thank you for loving me and every kindness you showed me. Know that I have loved you all and will continue to do so, eternally” – Tee
We are sad that you are gone but we are so blessed and thankful for the time we got to spend together. You have gone on to a far better place, and we take comfort in the knowledge that we will see you again. Look in on us from time to time until that day comes.
We love you, Ma – Kenny and William
A few words family wanted to share…
I Miss You Sister, I Miss You Friend –
I thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too
I think of you in silence…I often speak your name
All I have are memories and your picture in a frame
Your memory is my keepsake with which I will never part
GOD has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart
Love You Forever!
Your big sister, Denise and your best friend and sister Valerie
My dear sweet sister –
I thank God for putting you in my life.
Through the good times and the bad, we have a bond that will not be broken,
in this life or the next.
Thank you for being a sister that was always there for me.
I love you and I will miss you, until we see each other again.
Sleep peacefully, my sweet angel
Love, Maria
My sister –
Blessed once to call you Sister, Blessed twice to call you Friend.
Memories of our shared joys and pains, I hope will never end.
We have cried until we laughed, we have laughed until we cried
Always knowing in our hearts, that we were on the same side.
So long for now…Be Well! BE FREE!
Love you dearly, Deanie
To my dear Sweet Tee, my sister and friend –
You were a light on my darkest days
You showed me Love, the kind that stays
You were my strength when I was weak
At a time when my lowest was at its peak
Thank you for showing me grace and care
Thank you for always being there!
I miss you already…
Your baby sister, Andrea
