Timothy Patrick Wilson – September 30, 2026

Timothy Patrick Wilson of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on September 30, 2026. Tim was born to Tom and Maggie Wilson on June 17, 1944, in Milwaukee, WI while Tom was away serving in WWII.  Tom received the news of his son’s birth by a telegram saying, “son born all well at home please don’t worry”.  Tim’s brother, Dennis, was born 2 years later and Tim learned to terrorize and protect Dennis like only a big brother could.  Tim’s younger years were greatly shaped by his Great Grandpa Regan who the family lived with until Tim was 7.  Great Grandpa Regan was a God loving, dedicated, hard-working family man who shaped the man Tim grew up to be.

From a young age Tim was able to fix most anything from cars to furniture and enjoyed working with his hands. A family friend showed Tim what was involved in building houses, so Tim got to work when his wife Claudia found out she was expecting their first child. He finished up that house just before his daughter, Brigette, was born.  In 1980, the family moved to Shawno, WI where Tim went straight to work on building his second house finishing it just before moving to Colorado Springs to start a job at Schlage Lock Co.  Once in Colorado, Tim designed and built his final house on a majestic piece of land in Rockrimmon.  Tim spent 18 years working at Schlage Lock retiring in Aug 1999. In Oct 1999 he bought Independent Vovo Specialists, a car repair shop specializing in Volvo, Saub, Subaru’s.  He grew Independent VoVo to service all brands of cars and sold the business in 2020. Tim enjoyed woodworking, building/remodeling anything, and absolutely adored fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Claudia; second wife, Patti; and dear companion, Nancy.  He is survived by his daughter, Brigette; his brother, Dennis (Trudy); Patti’s 4 grandchildren, Anthony, Sydney, Juliet, and Abby who lovingly knew him as “Grandpa Moose”; and 2 great-grandchildren, Emma and Leo.

His family would like to thank all his caregivers including the team at MorningStar at Mtn Shadows, Angela and Lierra with Circle of Life, and Jeanne with Elder Love Caregiving for taking such great care of Tim and enriching his life these past 2 years.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on October 14, 2026, at 12pm, followed by burial at Evergreen cemetery at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tim’s honor to the Lewy body Dementia Association.
