Tyra Ann Young, 19 years old, passed away on March 26, 2022. She was a resident of Falcon for 1 year and was formerly a resident of Colorado Springs, CO.
Tyra was born on August 15, 2002 to Cleveland Young Jr. and Misty (Greenwald) Young in Colorado Springs, CO.
Tyra was fond of singing, dancing, bowling, beading and sew cards. She also enjoyed Justin Bieber music, dolphins, sharks, dinosaurs, alligators and her dog, Zeus (booboo). She was a member of Cool Cats, The ARC, Fishing has No Boundaries and Cerebral Palsy Association. She graduated in 2020 from Sand Creek High School.
She is survived by her loving parents: Misty Young and Patrick Addae; her siblings: Ava Young, Shante Young, Hosea Young, Isaac Young, Dondre Figgers, Emmanuel Young, Daniel Young, Sarah Eaton and Brandon Smith; her grandparents: Richard Greenwald, Nancy Lockhart and Claude Lockhart. She was preceded in death by her father, Cleveland Young Jr. on April 20, 2018.
A visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, April 7th at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday, April 8th at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 3615 Vickers Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80918. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy., Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
Tyra was a perfect combination of Princess and Warrior. She always had a smile and loved to make people laugh with her sassy diva personality. She will be greatly missed. We love her so much and were blessed to have her in our lives. Rest in Heaven with your Daddy.
