Our wonderful Braveheart, Bill Wallace passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 53. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 49 years.

He was born August 29, 1970, in Melrose, MA. When he moved to Colorado with his parents at the age of 4, he fell in love with the state. After graduating from Doherty High School, Bill joined the U.S. Army and served as a paratrooper. His favorite saying was “My office is in the sky”. Due to an injury from a jump, Bill was honorably discharged and worked in various positions across Colorado Springs.

Bill loved his family and friends. Family was very important to him. He also loved the Denver Broncos, the Beatles, and Snoopy and the Peanuts gang. He was the family animal whisperer, a Dungeon and Dragons enthusiast and an avid reader. Despite his health issues, he always saw the positive side of life and he had hope for a better future. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor and his kind heart. Bill was there when you needed him.

He is survived by his wife, Denise; his children: Sean Wallace (Jennifer) and Logan Escarcega (Victor); his father, Russ Wallace (Kay); his granddaughter, Lyanna Wallace; his miniature dachshund daughters: Sasha and Sadie; and his many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Young; stepfather, Joseph Young; and his paternal and material grandparents.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday August 3, 2024, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80910.

Memorials in Bill’s name can be made to Pikes Peak Humane Society, 610 Abbot Lane, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80905.

Bill will be forever in our hearts. We miss you, our Braveheart!
