William Michael Davis passed away in Aurora, Colorado on Monday, November 15, 2021.

He was born on June 10th, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois and was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado Since 1991.

William is survived by his loving three children: Taketomo Ogawa, Michael Davis, Belinda Bruin, and four grandchildren Jesse, Serena, Selena and Liyah.

Also surviving are eight sisters and one brother: Rene, Betty, Angie, Lillian, Donna, Trina, Barbara, Chris, and Cousin/sister Thelma.

He is preceded by his spouse Keiko of 47 years, both parents, and two sisters.

William was a longtime active member of the Catholic Church, a retired civilian of the US Postal Service, and a retired Veteran of the US Air Force. He was known as hardworking and compassionate in competitions. He was exceptional in both playing and coaching basketball, and a shark while shooting pool with his friends. He loved to donate his time and help when needed. Friends knew him as passionate for life and community, as well as dedicated to his friends and church.

William enjoyed watching television shows, movies and was a true Si-Fi fanatic! He enjoyed recording movies and westerns. He was a true Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls fan. William cherished his true Brother/Friend of over 65 years, Mr. Wayman West, whom he had known since they were kids. Also, Friend/Sister Wynolla “Winnie” West for over 50+ years, both of whom had always been considered Uncle Wayman & Auntie Winnie to William’s children and regular family members.

William loved to celebrate life with his family while eating traditional Japanese dishes and loving his grandchildren and all the time he got to spend with each one. He worked consistently to maintain the household. He loved his family the most, and to him, his immediate family was everything. He even cared for all his siblings the same.

William had many nicknames, William, Mike, Michael, Bill, Mr. Davis, Sgt Davis, Skinny legs, etc. We never understood why he had so many, but it was funny what people would call Him….

William was a loving Spouse, Father and Grandfather above all else!

A wonderful Man full life and passion to live.

He will be sorely missed by all the many lives he touched.
