Bill was born to Bill and Virginia (Harold) Nowland in Miami, FL in 1941. Until his final breath he served his community, family and continually worked to improve himself. Two of his favorite books were “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living” and “Roger’s Rules for Success”.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years; sister, Nancy Nowland; son, Stephen Nowland; daughter, Kimberly Nowland; and granddaughter, Elsie Militti.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, consider making a donation in William Nowland’s name to The Old Mutt Hut, a state-licensed rest-of-their life sanctuary for dogs who become homeless in their elder years (www.theoldmutthut.org).
